Welcome Back to School!

Hello Friends of Carroll Elementary,

I hope all of you had an awesome summer. I am so excited about the upcoming school year.

I am happy to announce that for the thirteenth consecutive year, CES is an EXEMPLARY SCHOOL!! Like CES, Carroll ISD was also named Exemplary! We are the largest 5A district in the state of Texas to receive this rating. I am very proud of our staff and students.

I would like to thank Beth Shurtz, PTO President, and her Board for their work over the summer months. With monies raised from last year’s fund raisers, our students will enjoy the use of our new basketball courts, swing set, technology and various other projects around the school! I encourage all of our families to join PTO, volunteer and become a part of the CES community.

Our painting project is complete and the building looks great. For the past few weeks we have had several projects going on in the building. All of the halls, library, gym and cafeteria have been repainted! A new security system has been installed and we are very excited about this added safety feature.

This summer we only had to replace two employees! Mrs. Jennifer Bailey is our new counselor. Jennifer has experience in grades K-9 and will be a fantastic addition to our staff. Mrs. Willingham has moved to fourth grade! Mrs. Patty Bradshaw will be our new Quest teacher. Patty comes to us from Coppell ISD with over 20 years experience in gifted education. We have added two new preschool classes to our school. Please help me welcome Mrs. Susan Newman, Mrs. Lynn Barker and our new assistants, Ms. Renee Neal and Mrs. Julie O’Neal. Please help make our new staff members feel welcome.
