H-E-B Excellence in Education Award honoring the best teachers in Texas
for 2008.
In addition to other DES teachers, Debra's leadership has distinguished
Durham Elementary as one of five schools nationally to participate in an

Corporation. |

Coach
Wasson, Kyle Padron and Brayden Burnett were guest speakers to DES second
grade boys and girls. They spoke of what it means to be a Carroll
Dragon:
Listen to
your teacher,
always encourage your teammates or classmates,
strive to do your best,
what you think and you do is up to you.
Have a great attitude.

once testing is complete

Durham's
PTO initial forecast of the profits from Kings, Queens and Dragons is
$40,000.00. It was an incredible evening and enjoyed by all who attended.
Additional PTO info: "We have finalized our partnership with Terra/Hat
Creek, the developers of the Shady Oaks neighborhood across the street from
Durham. They will be completely renovating our front campus
landscaping during the summer and we will return to school in August with
the pride we feel for the inside of our building, showing on the outside.
They will also be providing us with a generous donation for our PTO to use
for a project on the playground and the field areas of our campus. We are
very appreciative of their generosity and continued commitment to a
partnership with the DES and DIS PTOs. "
