This year's Veterans' Day program was especially
moving. The Dawson wind ensemble played and their choir club joined
with the EIS choir for one of the songs. The speaker was Lt.
Col. Bruce Bailey, USAF (retired), father of nurse Susie Silverman.
Students were inspired and receptive as he recounted his experiences
as a spy plane pilot during the Cold War. Visiting veterans were
also recognized and treated to a reception afterward following the
ceremony.
