Welcome to the Eubanks Intermediate School web site! I am sure that
you will find it timely and informative.
Eubanks
Intermediate School serves the needs of fifth and sixth graders. We
currently have 322 fifth graders and 353 sixth graders for a total of
675 students taught by more than 50 dedicated teachers and
support personnel. At Eubanks, everyone is committed to making every
day a learning experience that is enjoyable to both students and
teachers.
Our
classes are set up in a team format. Each student is on a team of two
or three core teachers. If the student is on a two-person team,
he/she will have one teacher who teaches Language Arts and Social
Studies and a teacher who teaches Mathematics and Science. If the
student is on a three-person team, he/she will have one teacher who
teaches Language Arts, one who teaches Mathematics, and one who
teaches Science and Social Studies. Every student receives 90 minutes
of Language Arts and Mathematics, 45 minutes of Social Studies, and 45
minute of Science each day. In addition, each student will receive
instruction in Physical Education, Art, Music/Choir, Band, Study
Skills, Science Lab, and Computer Technology. Eubanks also has a
well-stocked, Internet-ready library, a program for gifted and
talented students, and a wide-ranging program for students with
learning needs.
The
faculty and staff of Eubanks give up their time to sponsor many clubs
and activities for our students. Our students can be seen before and
after school participating in clubs from Bridge Club to Art Club, from
Computer Club to Running Club, and from Chess Club to UIL
competitions. These are only a few of the many offerings here at
Eubanks.
I am
proud to be a part of Eubanks Intermediate School and hope that you
enjoy your visit to our web site.
Sincerely,
Mark Terry, Principal |
