Identification

Kindergarten All kindergarten students receive weekly instruction in their individual classrooms. Students are formally identified for the Quest Program during the second semester.
   
Grades K-12 Students are assessed using the following measures:
  Aptitude Test
  Achievement Test
  Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (optional)
  Teacher/ Parent Scales
  Writing– Grades 7-12
   
Provisional Placement

Students new to Carroll ISD, who have been identified using an equivalent gifted education program in another district, may participate provisionally in Quest. Parents of these students must provide the following evidence for review: Report cards, standardized tests scores in aptitude and achievement, and evidence of participation in a gifted program.

   

Nomination

Quest nominations in grades K-12 may be submitted by a parent, teacher, community member or the student.

Look for postings on the district web site, in the schools, or in the newspapers for the exact nomination dates.
