Welcome to the Rockenbaugh Elementary school's web site here you will find links to author's web pages and other helpful links. The library at RES has a goal and that is to have every student at RES to love to read. Some of the ways we do this is with our Caldecott parade, Bluebonnet Club and author visits. Everyone is always welcomed in our library!

Bluebonnet 2007-2008

15 Book picnic can be current Bluebonnet books and
award winning novels. If there is a question about a
book then Judi can help the student. A report needs to
be turned in on these books too.

20 Book Bluebonnet trophy is ONLY if ALL 20 BLUEBONNET
BOOKS ARE READ. And of course a quiz or report must be
turned in for these.

If a teacher/parent reads a book that falls into this
outline then the teacher sends a note and I give
credit for that book to every child in that class.

If a child goes to the Plublic Library readings of
these books then the library sends me a list and I
give the child credit for the book.

If the child attends bluebonnet club they get credit
for the book. If a child misses a reading for the
club, then they must read the missed pages themselves
(honor system). The pages are listed on the board
outside of the library.
