Quality Education in Carroll ISD

"There are many things to like about serving on the CISD Board. CISD really is a great school district, with which I'm proud to be associated. Among everyone here there is a shared dedication to excellence. Excellence, however, is not seen as a destination, but rather as a process of continually striving to improve. This commitment to excellence is evidenced by our long history of recognized superlatives in every area of endeavor including academics, boys and girls athletics, debate, band, drill team, one act play etc. This demonstrated excellence derives from a recipe which includes the following essential ingredients, of which CISD is blessed in abundance: 1. dedicated teachers willing to sacrifice for "our" kids; 2. motivated students eager to learn; 3. extremely involved parents who imbue their children with the importance of a great education; 4. a supportive community which takes pride in its school system."

"A father of two children in CISD, one of whom has graduated, I offer personal testimony to the quality of a CISD education. My older daughter, on the Dean's List at Texas A&M, whose major is heavy with science courses such as physics, calculus, biology and chemistry, told me during her freshman year, 'Dad, much of what we're doing in class I already studied in high school. You know, I got a really good education at CISD.'"
