Mentor Teacher Program
The district provides a mentor teacher program for all first-year teachers.
Training
The district provides a variety of advanced training at no cost.
Pay Periods
Pay periods for professional employees are once a month. Direct deposit is available.
Carroll Education Foundation
Grants are available through the foundation for instructional purposes.
Professional Development Leave
The district offers unpaid professional development leave for those seeking a post-graduate degree.
Tuition Assistance Program
The district has a tuition assistance program which will reimburse an employee for up to 9 semester hours per year (September through August) at a rate of $70 per credit hour.
Sick Days
Teachers, (10) month employees and fulltime paraprofessionals, receive 10 leave days per year. Donated sick leave bank participation is available. All 12-month auxiliary employees receive 7 leave days per year. Full-time auxiliary personnel receive 5 leave days. Hardship leave, extended childcare leave and extended sick leave are also available.

Insurance
The district offers benefit-eligible employees with three different health plans, contributing a portion of the monthly premium. For those employees who choose not to participate in the district’s health plan, a $68 per month contribution is made to a 403b retirement plan. Voluntary insurance plans offered include cancer, disability, life, dental and vision.
Tax Sheltered Annuities
Staff members may select from an approved list of companies offering tax shelter and annuity
programs.
Credit Union
The Educational Employees Credit Union has many services available.
Teacher Retirement
A required deduction for Texas public school employees is made to ensure for retirement.
Sporting Passes
Free passes to home sporting events are issued to all employees of the district.
We Care Employee Discounts
