Next School Board Meeting: 

The Board will meet for a special meeting at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 30 in the Cabinet Room of the Administration Center, 3051 Dove Road in Grapevine. Trustees will consider the 2010-2011 Student Code of Conduct before participating in a Goal-Setting and Team Building Workshop.

The next regularly scheduled CISD School Board meeting is Monday, September 13 in the Auditorium of Johnson Elementary School, 1301 N. Carroll Avenue in Southlake. Meetings generally begin with an Executive Session, followed by a 6:30 p.m. open meeting. Agendas are posted 72 hours in advance of the start of the meeting.

Meetings are video taped for public viewing on Charter Communications Cable TV 30 in Southlake and Ch. 33 for Verizon FIOS customers.

General Information

The Carroll ISD Board of Trustees intends to meet on the first and third Monday of each month as needed. The meetings begin with a closed session followed by an open meeting at 6:30 p.m. Board meetings are held in the auditorium of Johnson Elementary School, 1301 N. Carroll Avenue in Southlake. The Board reserves the right to change meeting dates and times whenever necessary and will occasionally call a special meeting or work session.

Trustees are elected at-large for three-year terms during staggered years. Board officers are elected annually in May. Trustees do not receive compensation for their service on the Board.

All Board meetings are open to the public except when the Board adjourns to a closed session to discuss personnel matters and land acquisitions, to obtain legal counsel from the school attorney or to hold a student hearing.

The Board cannot legally act on any item that has not been published in the agenda prior to the meeting. Trustees welcome input from citizens at Board meetings or in writing. 

Daily Charter Cable 30 and Verizon FIOS Channel 33 Schedule

Carroll ISD's 24-hour educational channel is available to Verizon FiOS customers on
Channel 33. The programming can also be viewed by Southlake Charter Cable customers
on Channel 30.

Carroll ISD School Board meetings air daily. This system is experiencing technical difficulties and will resume programming soon.
