The Carroll ISD Board of Education has established several committees to make the Board more efficient and effective in its process, while drawing on the community resources where possible.
Interested citizens may fill out the 2009 Committee Application provided on this website and submit it to the Superintendent at any time during the course of the school year.
Applicants are encouraged to complete and return their committee request by 4:30 p.m. September 30, 2009 in order for committees to plan and operate for the 2009-2010 school year.
The purpose of the committees is to focus the expertise of certain Board members, administrative personnel, professional personnel and community participants toward specific tasks.
Examples of the committees include a new Audit Committee, Budget & Finance and the School Health Advisory Committee. These committees operate in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees and Administration of Carroll ISD.
The district is represented by Board members on several community-wide committees, as well including Joint Use Facilities, S.P.A.R.K.S. and Teen Court. In addition, there is a District Advisory Committee and each campus has a site-based, decision-making committee that serves in an advisory capacity, as well.
