2011 Trustee Election
Filing began Saturday, February 12 for a place on the May School Board ballot. Carroll ISD's Administration Center, 3051 Dove Road in Grapevine, opened from 8 a.m. to noon on February 12 for candidates wishing to file on the first day. Four candidates took advantage of the special CISD office hours to file for a place on the ballot. Filing continued until 5 p.m. March 14. Two additional candidates filed before the deadline March 14. Candidate Bernie Ausdenmoore withdrew his name from the ballot on March 21.

Trustees officially called the election at their February 21 meeting. Questions about the 2011 Trustee election may be directed to 817-949-7080.
To qualify as a candidate, a person must be a qualified voter, a United States citizen, 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled, never finally convicted of a felony, and never determined mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court. In addition, an individual seeking election must have been a resident of the state for 12 months and a resident of the district six months prior to the filing deadline.

When is early voting?

Where is early voting?
The most centrally located spot for early voting for Carroll ISD voters is in Southlake Town Square at Southlake Town Hall on the third floor. However, a registered voter may cast an early ballot at any early voting location in Tarrant County during the early voting dates/times listed. When and where is election day voting?
Election day voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. Voting on election day is by precinct number (located on your voter registration card). Voting locations by precinct will be posted to this site soon. Most CISD voters will cast a ballot at Carroll High School, 800 White Chapel Boulevard. Be sure to check your precinct number and voting location, however, before arriving to cast a ballot.

How can I find out the results of the election?
Carroll ISD will post election results on the CISD website immdiately following the election. Timing of the results depends on the various precincts reporting in to Tarrant County. The district and local media will share the results with the public as quickly as possible via online web postings and email notices.
