Chess

Compete with fellow chess players at CMS, as well as within the district.
 
Circle of Friends
Advisor: Mrs. Mosely
A group designed to help assist our Life Skills students in the classroom, hallways, and on community outings. The main focus is to include these students into daily life skills student activities and events as well as use peer role modeling to help teach appropriate Middle School behavior.
 
CMS Dragon Book Club

Like to read? Join other CMS students in reading and discussing novels for fun!
 
Drama
Advisor: Ms. Ponsford
Come for improve, and stay for rehearsals. Students may participate in after school shows aw well as other fun theatrical activities!
 
Environmental Club
Advisor: Mrs. Cashon
Going green is the way! Learn about different ways that we can go green by helping the
 environment and making our school more beautiful at the same time.
 
Friends of Rachel
Advisors: Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Jackson
As a “friend of Rachel” (FOR), we will be the leaders who strive to create a cultural change in our school through promoting kindness, serving others, and showing compassion to all.
 
National Junior Honor Society
Advisors: Mrs. Herndon and Mrs. Mize
Students must earn an overall grade average of 95 or better during their 7th grade year.
 
Spanish Club
Advisor: Senora Robinson
Designed to explore the culture and customs of Spanish speaking countries.
 
Student Council
Advisors: Mrs. Hilliard and Ms. Rosendahl
Get involved in your school! Student Council members help promote and improve
student involvement and school pride.
