The following scholarships can be found in the Scholarship Opportunities File Cabinet in the College and Career Center of the Guidance Department.
#001 Mark Jameson-Allstate Insurance: Scholar Athlete of the Month:
Carroll Senior High School seniors who have excelled in both the classroom and athletics. These $500 scholarships will be paid to the recipient’s University, College, or Community College. Applications must be received in the CSHS Guidance Office no later than the 15th of the month.
#002 2009 Pepsi Hispanic Heritage Scholarship:
Available to Hispanic students. This is a merit-based scholarship. Five (5) $4000.00 and twenty-five (25) $500.00 will be awarded.

#003 The Thomas Wolfe Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill:
Available for graduating seniors interested in pursing a college degree in writing.

#004 Cheryl Shankman Study Abroad Scholarship:
The Carroll Advanced Placement Boosters will be offering a scholarship for Carroll ISD sponsored travel abroad student programs planned from January 2010 through July 2010.

#005 AXA Achievement Scholarship:
Available to students who have demonstrated exceptional involvement in community service, overcome personal challenges and/or led a project that benefited others. Visit website: www.axa-achievement.com

#006 Rollins College Dallas Area Scholarship:
Scholarships ($5000.00 per year) are considered upon application. Students chosen to be interviewed for scholarship will be notified by the end of January. See www.rollins.edu for more information.

#007 Stephen Austin Army ROTC School of Nursing:
2, 3, & 4 year scholarships pays full tuition cost and fees, $1200 per year for books. Applicant must agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component.

#008 Park School of Communications Scholarship:
Available to students planning to attend Ithaca College and major in the field of communication. The scholarship offers full tuition, room, and board.

#012 EECU Glenn Mandeville Memorial Scholarship:
Applicant and/or parent/guardian must be a member in good standing with EECU. Six (6) $5000.00 scholarships will be awarded to students. Three (3) scholarships will be awarded to those who plan to enter the field of education and three (3) to those selecting careers outside the educational field. Applications in Guidance Office. #014 McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarship:

This is a need and/or merit based scholarship for The University of Texas. #032 Mensa Education and Research Essay Scholarship: Awards are made on the basis of an essay of no more than 550 words that describes the applicant’s career, vocational, or academic goals. It is NOT necessary that the applicant be a member of Mensa.

Go to website: www.uta.edu/scholarships for more information. #036 Colleyville Woman’s Club Circle of Hope Scholarship: One (1) graduating senior from CSHS will receive a $1000.00 scholarship based on among others: financial need, GPA, ACT/SAT scores. #037 Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Mothers’ Club: Two (2) $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who reside in Tarrant County.
Deadline: February 16. 2010. #038 Heritage Land Bank: Offering four (4) $2500.00 to graduating seniors who will be pursing a degree in Ag-Economics, Ag-Education, Ag-Development, Animal Science, Forestry or a Vocational or Technical field related to Agriculture.

#039 2009 Tom Landry Classic Scholarship: Any graduating senior student who participated in the 2009 Tom Landry Classic game played Aug. 29, 2009 could be eligible for a $25,000.00 scholarship. Open to all participants including football players, cheerleaders, band members, color guard, drill team member, student trainers, and mascot.

#040 Eddleman-McFarland Fund Scholarship: A number of scholarships are awarded each year to applicants who reside in Tarrant or Parker County. This scholarship is primarily based on financial need. Deadline: March 15, 2010 #041 Metroport Rotary Club Scholarship: Awarded to graduating seniors from local area high schools. Criteria based on academic achievement, financial need, extra curricular activities, and community service/other activities. #042 Texas Department of Transportation Conditional Grant Program: Available to students who reside in Texas and are considered economically disadvantage and will attend a Texas four year school. Students can receive up to $6000.00 per year.
Deadline: March 1, 2010 #045 cholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY): Available to scholar athletes. Twenty-five (25) scholarships for $7500.00 each will be awarded. Judging will be based on: (25%) academic performance, (35%) athletic excellence, (15%) leadership, (10%) community service, and milk experience (5%). #046 William T. Meyers Memorial Scholarship: A $2000.00 scholarship toward higher education will be awarded to a CSHS graduating senior. The student must have completed at least 4 years of science and be of high moral character. Selection will be by committee.

#047 Carroll Education Foundation: Awarded to graduating CSHS seniors. Applicants must submit 500 words or less that includes your course of study, goals, and/or dreams.

#048 Field & Mary Scovell Scholarship Foundation: Ten (10) grants of $3,000.00 will be awarded to North Texas students attending a school in Texas or a Big 12 Conference, or Southeastern Conference college. The applicants must have a connection to sports, leadership abilities, high moral character, and financial need. Deadline: March 22, 2010 #049 Charter Communications Student Scholarship: Up to ten (10) $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from various counties in Texas. Applicant should plan on majoring in one of the following areas: marketing, accounting, business administration, business management, communications, computer technology, engineering, or a related field at an accredited college. #050 Fort Worth Audubon Society’s Environmental All-Star Scholarship: Up to two (2) $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to seniors who have demonstrated an interest in the environment an/or natural sciences. Applicant must reside in Tarrant County.

#052 Southlake Newcomers’ Club Scholarship: A minimum of two (2) scholarships will be awarded to eligible seniors at CSHS, Southlake resident enrolled in private school or home schooled, or Grapevine/Colleyville High School.
