Disclosure Statement
Sue Armstrong was elected to the Board in May 2005 and re-elected for a third term in May 2011. She has lived in Southlake since August 2000 with her husband and two children. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Mrs. Armstrong was the Western Regional Sales Manager for CDA Investment Technologies, in San Francisco, specializing in corporate investor relations information & services and also worked for the High Tech IPO Division of Morgan Stanley & Co. in Menlo Park, CA . She is an active community and public school volunteer. Her daughter graduated from Carroll Senior High School in June 2011 and her son will be a sophomore at Carroll High School this fall.
She currently serves as the Board's Delegate to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and is one of the Legislative Liaisons to the Board. Sue initiated a public school finance forum (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly) with Grapevine-Colleyville and Keller ISDs in October 2010 to raise awareness of problems in public education funding (Robin Hood, Target Revenue, etc) and the potential cuts to public education funding by the 82nd Legislature. In the past, she has served as PTO President's Liaison, as a representative to the District Advisory Committee, the Legislative-Budget Committee and has been a past Chair of the Audit Committee.
Mrs. Armstrong's term will expire in 2014.
