Updated District Immunization Requirements Released
According to the Texas Attorney General, under the Texas Administrative Code section 97.66, the law requires that students be fully immunized against specific diseases before enrollment. The minimum state requirements are listed below:

Five doses of any combination DTaP/DTP unless 4th dose was given on or after 4th birthday in which four would be sufficient.
Students 7 years of age and older:
- Three doses of any combination DTP/DTaP/TD vaccine (one given after age 4)
- One dose of T containing vaccine required ten years after last dose of DTP/DTaP/DT
- Tdap upon entry into 7th grade if it has been 5 years since receiving a tetanus-diphtheria containing vaccine. When 5 years elapsed since T then Tdap due.

Four doses unless the 3rd dose was on or
after the 4th birthday in which three doses
would then be sufficient.
No polio after age 18. |
Measles, Mumps, Rubella
(MMR) |
Kindergarten – two doses MMR after 1 year

containing vaccine with the first dose on or
after the 1st birthday; one dose of Mumps
