Disclosure Statement 

John Thane was re-elected to a three-year term on the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees in May 2010. He has resided in Southlake since the summer of 2001. His wife, Libby, is a Life Skills teacher's aide in Carroll ISD, and they have two sons attending CISD schools.

Mr. Thane holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Texas State University. He is a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch and offices in Town Square. He has 20 years experience in the financial services industry. 

Mr. Thane served as president of the Dad's Club at Johnson Elementary School and is a graduate of the Southlake Citizens Academy. He is a member of the Southlake Executive Forum, Southlake Kiwanis Club, Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas and Southlake Chamber of Commerce. He is the Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee and Co-Chairman of the Joint Use Committee. Mr. Thane was the district's inaugural representative to S.P.A.R.K. (Student and Parents Against Risk to our Kids).

Mr. Thane's term will expire in May 2013.
