Disclosure Statement 

John Thane was re-elected to a three-year term on the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees in May 2010. He has resided in Southlake since the summer of 2001. His wife, Libby, is completing her teaching degree at Texas Woman’s University and they have two sons attending CISD schools.

Mr. Thane holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Texas State University. He is a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch and offices in Town Square. With over twenty years experience in the financial services industry, he advises his clients on wealth accumulation, preservation and transfer.
 
Mr. Thane served as president of the Dad's Club at Johnson Elementary School and is a graduate of the Southlake Citizens Academy. He also serves the public as an active member of the Southlake Kiwanis Club and Southlake Executive Forum. He is the Chairman of the Joint Use Committee and Audit Committee and was the district's inaugural representative to S.P.A.R.K. (Student and Parents Against Risks to our Kids). Mr. Thane has been awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Mr. Thane's term will expire in May 2013.
