NURSE NEWS -
VISION & HEARING SCREENING
for 7th Grade will be conducted on Wed. 11/4, and Thur. 11/5.
This is a state mandated program. If you do not want your child
screened for either of these, you must submit that request in writing
via email to okersonm@cisdmail.com, via fax to 817.949.5555, or via
signed hand-written note to the DMS Nurse by Tuesday 11/3.
**Remind your child to wear his/her glasses or contacts on BOTH of
those days**
A Few Reminders:
* Please be observant when sending lunch or snacks to school with your
child by choosing foods that are peanut-free (especially) or free of
any type of nut. Severe nut allergies can be life-threatening
situations for our students who have this allergy.
* Continue to send Immunization and health updates, and changes in medications
that are taken routinely so your child's records can be kept current.
* To prevent a hold up in your child not getting his/her medication,
please read the Medication Guidelines online at the CISD website.
This includes, all medications to be given at school must come
from home in the original container with a signed note of instructions
from parent/guardian. Parent/Guardian provides all
medication. There are 10 other guidelines to familiarize your
self with.
* All students with a fever over 100 are considered contagious and
should be kept home until they are free of fever for 24hrs.without the
help of Tylenol/Advil. Continue to stress thorough and frequent hand
washing, and disinfecting of phones, light switches, microwave buttons,
ipods, and computer keyboards and mouses.
