DEADLINE - MARCH 5TH !
The deadline for all current 8th
graders to register is March 5th. Students will register from
their home computers. Please make sure your student registers
before the deadline. Click on CURRENT 8TH GRADE for all the
registration information from the High School counselors.

General PTSO Meeting on Thursday, March 4th. The meeting is at
11:00 a.m. in the DMS Library. Dr. Faltys will discuss the
Campus Reduction Plan and the District's overall financial
position. Don't miss this important meeting!

Please remember to NOT schedule any dental or doctor
appointments on these dates. Early dismissal for students
is discouraged, until all students are finished testing.
Your help in ensuring we have a quiet and uninterrupted testing
environment is greatly appreciated!

a mandatory tryout meeting for all candidates on Tuesday, March
9th. The meeting is at 7:00 p.m. at CSHS.
The
parent or candidate must attend this meeting.

practices: March 23-25 (4:15 - 6:15)

NURSE NEWS -
On Monday
March 1st & Tuesday March 2nd, Eighth Graders will be
screened
for Scoliosis
(abnormal curvature of the spine) during their LA classes.
Scoliosis screening is mandated by
Texas Law. Please see the CISD
Health Services
website for more
information.
If you do NOT want your
child to be screened please do so in writing via email
at okersonm@cisdmail.com, via a
signed hand written note, or by fax (817-949-5555)
before the morning of Friday February 26th.

RELAY FOR LIFE!
Relay For Life is Coming to
Southlake! In the spirit of Rachel's Challenge, we are proud to
announce that this community-wide event will be held May 21, 2010
(times and location to be forthcoming.) Relay For Life is the signature
fund-raising activity for the American Cancer Society. At the
event, our community will have the opportunity to celebrate the lives
of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and
empower individuals to fight back against this disease. Our
schools and businesses are encouraged to form "relay"
teams to help raise funds that go toward the fight against cancer
through research, by raising awareness of cancer treatment and
prevention, and by providing support services and resources for cancer
patients in our area. Special recognition will go to the schools
and businesses with the most teams and donations and to teams with the
most creative/original theme. For more information about the
