Dragon Bash! and A Message From the PTSO President!
DMS Dragon Bash 2009-
The 1st annual celebration of DMS students, faculty, and family! The
Bash will take place on Friday, September 25th, from 4-7 p.m. on the
DMS track and football field!
We are putting the "FUN" back in FUNdraising!!!!
Mr. Wilson gets the party started at 4:00 SHARP!!!

1. RENEW a magazine subscription
that you already receive, order a new magazine or purchase one as a
gift. Fill out paperwork your student brought home and pay later or go
online to http://www.qsp.com/. Make sure to enter DAWSON as your school and your child's
name when you check-out. Have your child bring in the confirmation
email on turn in days during lunch to receive prizes.
Student Rewards for orders turned in:

INJURED
MARINE SEMPER FI FUND
PURCHASE MARINE
BUTTONS AND MUMS! A NEW TRADITION!
This year, the Dragon football team's annual philanthropy project
will benefit the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Throughout September and October the
fundraising activities will include events honoring America's
military. Sales of charity mums and buttons for the homecoming
game will go directly to the Semper Fi Fund.
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was established in 2004 and assists
Marines, sailors and service members who were injured while assigned
to Marine forces and their families during their difficult road to
recovery. The fund has provided over 15,000 grants totaling over $31
million in assistance to America's Operation
Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom wounded heroes and
families.
Be
sure to purchase your Marine Semper Fi button and mums and help this worthwile charity. Buttons and mums are
available at the DMS Dragons' Closet.

FRIENDS OF
RACHEL-
Imagine
moving to a shelter; you basically have just the cloths on your back
and nothing else. Imagine how difficult it would be to start the school
year out with no school supplies. The Friends of Rachel from Dawson Middle School are working to
help those kids in need by collecting school supplies. If you are
out shopping this week, please keep them in mind and pick up something
to help them start off the new year right. We have boxes in the atrium
to collect those supplies, so bring them to school and drop them in the
box. We'll get them to the students who desperately need them!
