Carroll Kicker Earns Bronze Finish At Competition
Dragon football player Scott Lopano kicked his way to an overall third-place win at the 2008 Lone Star Kicking Challenge in San Marcos earlier this month. As a top-eight finisher in the preliminary round, Lopano advanced to the finals for a single elimination tournament. He finished second in the punting division. This was Lopano's first time to compete in the Lone Star competition. Overall awards were given to the athletes who performed the best while competing in each of the three kicking events: field goal, kickoff and punting. Lopano is a member of the Dragon football team and will be a senior at Carroll Senior High School in the fall.

Additional information will be posted to the Back to School page as August approaches. New For 2008-2009 CISD Trustees have eliminated the student activity fee for athletes in grades 7-12. No longer will families have to pay to have their children participate in athletic programs. No changes were made to the existing parking and bus transportation fees. School supply lists have been changed this year. In an effort to accommodate parent requests, CISD has streamlined the process to individualize lists for each school and grade level. This will help eliminate the purchase of uniform items at campuses that did not use everything in the supply packs. A copy of each school and grade level supply list is available on the Back-To-School web link. Visit the Back to School 2008 web link below for details. XTO Presents CEF's Culinary Celebration 2008
