For information about the district's Gifted & Talented (Quest) Program, contact Pat Watts at 817-949-7063.

The Carroll Independent School District 's gifted and talented program, Quest, is available to students in grades K-12 and is designed to meet the diverse needs of the gifted population. Quest program options enable gifted students to work together as a group, work with other students, and work independently. Flexible pacing and grouping patterns as well as independent investigations are also employed to allow students to learn at a pace and level appropriate for the students' abilities and skills.

The Quest program is based upon Dr. George Betts' Autonomous Learner Model for the Gifted and Talented. This model challenges students to be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of their own learning. Currently, the Quest curriculum is delivered through multi-dimensional units within the four core subject areas of language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. Central to this integrated academic approach is the ongoing development of critical and creative thinking skills.

Please visit the Quest website for more information.
