K-6 Music Program

The K-6 CISD Music Program establishes a strong musical foundation through listening, moving, playing, singing, and creating so that students are inspired to seek and establish a permanent relationship with music. The CISD Music Curriculum is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and focuses on Rhythm, Pitch, Tone Color, Expression, Harmony, Form, History, Cultures and Performance. Students have a variety of performance opportunities, including grade-level performances and extra-curricular performance groups.
