The goal of professional development is to provide opportunities for continued learning for all students, teachers and administrators. According to
Learning Forward “the most powerful forms of professional development occur in ongoing teams that meet on a regular basis for the purposes of learning, joint lesson planning, and problem solving. These teams operate with a commitment to the norms of continuous improvement and experimentation and engage their members in improving their daily work to advance the achievement of school district and school goals for student learning.”
Creating opportunities for individual and collective professional development in Carroll ISD is the responsibility of both campus and district administrative personnel. To this end the district and the campuses work together to balance the needs of the district with those of each campus.
