MUSIC RUG

We are thrilled to have our new music rug!  The students have already enjoyed playing musical squares as they review the music symbols - quarter note, half note, eighth note, whole note, quarter rest, half rest and whole rest.  Third and Fourth grade classes have been learning and reviewing the notes of the treble staff through a note spelling game.  We appreciate the generosity of the PTO as they support the music program.  The music rug is a great tool!


 

DRAGON DAY

Dragon Day is such a wonderful opportunity for students to learn in mixed-age groups. This year on Dragon Day, the students have been exploring tempo in the music room. Did you ever wonder what Dragon Day is like? Take a look at the video below.
