Superintendent David Faltys
David Faltys was named superintendent by the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees in December 2005 and began his new duties at the district's top post on January 3, 2006. He was the lone finalist following an extensive superintendent search conducted by Bob E. Griggs and Associates.
For two years Faltys had been the Superintendent of Navasota ISD, a 3A public school district near Bryan-College Station. He is a former classroom teacher, high school principal and assistant superintendent in Navasota. Faltys is a graduate of Texas A&M University and recently earned his doctorate degree.
He currently resides in CISD with his wife, Jennifer, and four children.
On October 30, 2006, the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees amended Dr. Faltys' contract, extending his contract another 2.5 years until 2011, supplementing his monthly TRS retirement payment and increasing his base salary. The Board's vote was unanimous following a positive evaluation of Dr. Faltys' first year leading CISD.
