Welcome to Carroll ISD, where everyone's a Dragon!
Carroll ISD is a K-12 public school system located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The 21-square-mile district consists of 11 schools serving more than 8,100 students and 1,000 employees. As one of the top school districts in Texas, CISD received "A" ratings by the Texas Education Agency at all 11 campuses, and also earned the prestigious Lonestar Cup for the 9th time, winning the most points in 6A history! Carroll ISD students once again demonstrated that creativity, innovation, and teamwork can compete on a global stage, earning impressive results at the 2026 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals held in May at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Carroll ISD is proud to announce that Carroll Athletics has been named the inaugural Class 6A recipient of the Texas Cup, a new statewide award presented by the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association (THSADA) recognizing the top overall athletic program in Texas. Read the full story!

At the August 3, 2026 Regular Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees was presented with updates to the student handbook and student code of conduct. You may review the proposed changes at the links below.
Carroll ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.45 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $18.40.
