Welcome to Carroll ISD, where everyone's a Dragon!
Carroll ISD is a K-12 public school system located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The 21-square-mile district consists of 11 schools serving more than 8,100 students and 1,000 employees. As one of the top school districts in Texas, CISD received "A" ratings by the Texas Education Agency at all 11 campuses, and also earned the prestigious Lonestar Cup for the 9th time, winning the most points in 6A history! Carroll ISD students delivered an impressive showing at the Odyssey of the Mind State Finals, earning multiple top finishes across all divisions. Several Dragon teams secured first- and second-place honors, punching their tickets to the World Finals to showcase their creativity on a global stage.

Carroll ISD’s UIL Academic Team captured its second consecutive district championship on March 28, 2026, with students placing in the top six in every event and advancing 26 competitors to regionals. The dominant performance, highlighted by a Computer Science sweep and record-setting Science scores, continues the District’s tradition of academic excellence.

Carroll ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.45 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $18.40.
