  • District GT Referral and Testing Information

The GT testing referral window for students in Kindergarten opens Monday, December 3 at 8:00 am and will close at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 20. To refer your JES Kindergarten child for the Carroll ISD Gifted and Talented Program, please go to this link to complete the online referral form.  We are using a completely electronic referral process and will not be collecting any paper referrals this year.  Once you reach the confirmation screen on the form linked above, you are finished!  Hopefully, this will make the process easy.  Please note that absolutely no referrals will be accepted after the 3:00 pm deadline on December 20.  *Testing for students in grades 1-4 occurs in the fall.

    What is Quest?

The gifted and talented program in CISD is called Quest at the elementary level.  It is an interdisciplinary program where students are encouraged to make connections and view the world in a more global manner.

    When will testing take place?

Students in Kindergarten will test in small groups during school hours in January and February.  Elementary students must meet the Phase I abilities test criteria in order to move forward to the Phase II portion of the screening process.  Phase II involves an achievement test in math and reading.  All testing for kindergarten students will be paper and pencil rather than electronic.

  • Dragon Volunteer Registration Now Open

Each year, Carroll ISD is lucky to have dedicated parents and community members that make the decision to volunteer on campuses and around the district. These volunteers are vital to the success of each campus and program where they volunteer.  Each year volunteers are required to re-register to serve on CISD campuses.  Click here to learn more about the process and begin registration.
