  • Construction Update

    JES administration will be located at Rockenbaugh Elementary during the summer months. Our construction crew is working around the clock getting our building ready for students.  Our teachers are not allowed in the building until the week of August 12th.  We are very anxious to make the hallways and classrooms decorated and ready for you, but time is not on our side. Please be patient with us as we prepare the building for the beginning of school. We will have the classrooms ready for students, but the school may not be as decorated as you are accustomed to seeing at the beginning of the year.

  • *Update - Please read carefully* -Arrival/Dismissal Procedures for 2019-2020

    With the new construction and a growing student population, we have examined our arrival/dismissal procedures and have revised them to be safer for our students. 

    Safety comes first, and we appreciate your support, patience, and cooperation while we implement this new plan.  Nothing is more important than your child's safety. It will be well worth the few extra minutes. Please take the time to review the following information carefully. Some important changes include the following:

    • All students will receive backpack tags indicating how they will be going home.
    • In order to pick up students from the car line or walkers area, parents must show identification:
      • Official car signs must be displayed in the car window during pick-up time.
      • Official JES key tag must be shown with the child's name on the back of the tag to pick up students who go home as a walker or bike rider. Please do not park in our parking lot or surrounding neighborhoods to be a 'walker' in order to avoid the car line.
      • Families without these official forms of identification must go directly to the front office.
    • Changes in transportation must be communicated to the front office by calling 817-949-4500 or emailing DO NOT contact the classroom teacher with these changes.
    • The cut-off time for a change in transportation is 2:00 pm. The cut-off time for early dismissal is 2:30 pm. 
      • Thank you for your help in adhering to these times. These cut-off times are necessary for our front office to create change of transportation forms to get students where they need to be.

  • 2019-20 Bus Passes on Sale

    The district is encouraging parents to register early to assist the Transportation Department in more effectively planning bus stops and routes.

    • Individual Bus Pass: $275/Annual   $148/Semester
    • Family Bus Passes: $550 Annual/$296/Semester

    All bus riders MUST have a current 'Bus Rider Contract' form signed by a parent or guardian and turned in with the Bus Rider Registration indicating they will abide by the Bus Safety Handbook if paying by check or cash. Bus passes will not be issued until a signed contract has been turned in. The Bus Safety Handbook and Contract, as well as a link to purchase bus passes, can be found on the Transportation webpage.

  • My School Bucks - New Lunch Payment System

    The CISD Child Nutrition Department will be launching its new Point of Sale (POS) system for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.  The system will be ready for the first day of school on August 19th.  Please read the article from My Southlake News for more information and sign up instructions.   • Happy Birthday Dragon!

    Birthday celebrations at school made easy!  In order to better manage "Nut Allergy Awareness" in classroom treats, parents may now purchase approved treats from CISD Nutrition.  

    • Digital order form available on the CISD Nutrition Webpage
    • Three treat options available
    • Orders need to be placed a week in advance
    • Purchases will be made from student's existing lunch account

  • Electronic Policy Device for 2019-2020 

    Carroll ISD will be implementing a new Electronic Device Policy for the 2019-2020 school year.  The policies will be included in the Student Handbook and Code of Conduct.  Please click here for more information on the new electronic guidelines.

  • Elementary Early Release Schedule

    All Carroll ISD Elementary campuses will have early release days the first week of school. 

    August 19 - 23: 7:40 am - 11:55 am.

    Regular school hours resume on Monday, August 26: 7:40 am - 2:55 pm.

    School hours are from 7:40 am until 2:55 pm.  The first bell rings at 7:40 am.  Students are tardy after the second bell which is at 7:55 am.

  • Dragon Volunteer Registration Now Open

    Each year, Carroll ISD is lucky to have dedicated parents and community members that make the decision to volunteer on campuses and around the district. These volunteers are vital to the success of each campus and program where they volunteer.  Each year volunteers are required to re-register to serve on CISD campuses.  If you are interested in serving as a campus or district volunteer, click here to begin your Dragon EZVolunteer application.

  • Traffic Reminders

    Thank you for your help in keeping all our little Dragons safe by obeying all traffic laws during arrival and dismissal. As a reminder, the speed limit during school zone hours is 20 miles per hour.

    Please refrain from using your cell phone when driving in the school zone, especially in the car line. Children are entering and exiting vehicles, and we need all drivers to be aware of their surroundings.
