COVID-19 Spring Break Travel Reminder
As Spring Break approaches, we wanted to make sure to remind our parents that on January 12, 2021, the CDC issued an order requiring all air passengers arriving in the US from a foreign country to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight. You can read more of that order on our “Travel During Covid-19” page on our website.

Counseling Department Welcomes Kim Muench on March 24
Carroll ISD’s Counseling Department welcomes Kim Muench on March 24 at 6 p.m. in a zoom presentation for parents as they navigate through life with adolescents. Kim Muench is a Jai Institute for Parenting Certified Parent Coach who specializes in working with mothers of adolescents (ages 10+). Please contact Tammy Pulse to sign up or for questions. Dragon Soccer Senior Night March 5
The Carroll Dragon Soccer Team will celebrate and recognize seniors and their parents during Senior Night on Friday, March 5. The Dragons will host Timber Creek High School at 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. Friends, families, and all Dragon fans are invited to come to celebrate our seniors prior to the game and stay for some Dragon soccer action.

Spring State Assessment Information for CSHS and CHS
Several state and national assessments will not be available remotely this spring. This includes STAAR, STAAR EOC, STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS, SAT School Day and ASVAB. Remote students who are participating in any of these assessments will be required to come to campus to participate in testing. Click here to read more and see the testing schedule.

CSH Students: Apply Now for PALS (Peer Assistace Leadership) 2021-2022
PALs is a mentoring program that interacts with all schools within Carroll ISD.
PALs will collaborate with students enrolled in pre-kindergarten up to the Senior High
School. These include having a class assigned to you, friends at lunch, at risk students,

AP Art History Course Selection Open Now!
Engage global art in this year-long elective designed to introduce you to artistic traditions you’ll appreciate for the rest of your life! All current 9th, 10th and, 11th-grade students are encouraged to visit the website below to see if this elective is a good fit for next year’s schedules. There is no prerequisite to the course, and no application process – all students are welcome! Mr. Johnston will be visiting Pre-AP/GT English classes on February 2 and 3 to present the course in more detail, and to answer student questions. Dragon GT Booster Accepting Senior Scholarship Applications Now
SAGT is proud to offer a $1,500 scholarship to a 2021 graduating senior. Applications will open on February 15 and all aspects must be completed by midnight on March 31. Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative and educational problem solving program. Carroll ISD has a rich history in OM. If your dragon is looking for an extra-curricular challenge which is both fun and enriching, look no further! OM is starting the registration process for new and returning teams. Here is how you can get involved:- Parents who are interested in their dragon joining a team, click here to leave your information, and check with like- minded folks to form a team – bear in mind that a team is comprised of seven team members and a coach.
