It is truly an honor to be a part of an excellent high school in an outstanding school district. I am blessed to be in this position and to work with amazing students on a daily basis. Melinda Schott - Assistant Principal for Juniors
The 2019-2020 school year marks my 28th year as an educator. This school year will be my eleventh year at Carroll Senior High School as an Assistant Principal. I am very excited to continue to work with such a dedicated staff, hardworking students, supportive parents, and caring community.
I was born and raised in Irving, Texas, where I began my teaching career as a 7th grade math teacher. After teaching for six years, I decided to pursue a career in administration. I continued my education from University of North Texas and received a Master of Education. But, I bleed maroon! I’m a true Aggie! Texas A&M is where I received my Bachelor of Science. GIG’EM!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. My kiddos keep me busy: my son Michael will be a sophomore at UTPB majoring in Geology; my daughter Makenzie will be a senior at Flower Mound High School and plays on the Varsity Basketball Team; and last but not least, my daughter Madison will be a junior at Flower Mound High School and plays on the Varsity Soccer Team.
I feel honored to be an Assistant Principal at Carroll Senior High School. I look forward to all of the new challenges we will face together and to all the successes we will achieve together. I invite you to contact me with any questions or concerns anytime at 817-949-5803 or email.
