Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kimberley Coffman

I grew up in Cincinnati but I got to Texas as soon as I could! I graduated from SMU with my BA and MA, both in English/Creative Writing. I have taught secondary ESL in Dallas ISD and then Irving ISD, English 3 and Sheltered English in Grand Prairie ISD, and Adult Intensive ESL for DCCCD. While at Irving ISD I was encouraged by colleagues to pursue my M.Ed in school counseling degree at DBU, and upon completion, I was offered a counseling opening in GPISD- but at an elementary! So it was quite the learning curve coming from “the big kids,” but I greatly enjoy it!

I have a passion for charming old houses and live in a conservation district in Dallas with my giant dog and feisty old cat. I look forward to a great year at Rockenbaugh! I can already tell this is a wonderful school in an outstanding district and I’m happy to be a part of it.

TURQUOISE is Ms. Coffman’s favorite color because it reminds her of her grandparents, who loved all things desert.  In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, gardening and reading the Game of Thrones series. She has a 200 pound Russian shepherd and grumpy old rescue cat who are spoiled rotten.
