Back-To-School Information

    First day of school is Monday, August 15! Back-to-School information provides all the needed key dates, events, and campus news for the start of school. 

    Start & End Times
    NOTE: All CISD elementary schools will have early dismissal for the first week of school, August 15-19th. Preschool will have an 11:35 a.m. dismissal Monday-Friday, and K-4 will have a 12:00 p.m. dismissal Monday-Friday. All other campuses will operate on a normal bell schedule. This early dismissal schedule allows teachers to complete important reading and math assessments for individual students. Bus transportation will be provided on early dismissal days.

    • Pre-School - 7:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
    • Elementary (K-4) - 7:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 
    • Intermediate (5-6) - 8:25 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
    • Middle Schools (7-8) - 8:25 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
    • High Schools (9/10 and 11/12) - 8 a.m. to 3:21 p.m.

    School Supplies
    School supply lists for preschool and K-8 campuses can be found here. High school and senior high school students will learn their school supply needs on the first day of classes.

    New Student Online Enrollment
    New Student Online Enrollment allows parents/guardians to enter student and family information to request enrollment of students that will be new to CISD.

     How does it work?

    • A parent/guardian requests an account. See link at bottom of page to begin.
    • A verification email is sent to the parent/guardian with login and password information
    • The parent/guardian logs into CISD’s Enrollment Access within Skyward Family Access with the login and password provided in the verification email
    • The parent/guardian completes the student application process, uploads requested documents, and completes required district forms
    • The appropriate campus reviews the application and communicates the next step to the parent/guardian
    • Once the application is approved, the student is enrolled into CISD at the appropriate campus

    Note: If you already have other students attending Carroll ISD, and are needing to enroll an additional student, please login to Family Access and select the New Student Online Enrollment tab to begin the application process.

    Annual Student Verification
    Parents of all Carroll ISD students (including new enrollees) are required to complete verification for each of their students annually. For your convenience, verification will be available online beginning August 1 within Skyward Family Access.  Once in Skyward Family Access, please select the "Annual Student Verification" button.

    Bus Routes & Passes
    The district is encouraging parents to register early to assist the Transportation Department to more accurately plan bus stops and routes. Routes for the 2022-23 school year will be available online Aug. 4 on the Transportation webpage under Bus Routes InfoFinderi. 

    Bus Passes can be purchased online here or at the CISD Administration Building Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30. 

    Bus Pass Prices Starting Aug. 1st 2022
    Annual Pass: $300 per student or $575 per family
    Semester Pass: $160 per student or $325 per family 

    NEW Student Device Pickup:

    Students NEW to Carroll ISD in Grades 6-12 can pick up their student laptops at the CISD Admin Building (2400 N .Carroll Ave.) during one of the following times:

    • Tuesday, August 9th from 10 AM – 12 PM
    • Thursday, August 11th from 5 – 7 PM

    Please enter the building from the front reception entrance on Dove Road. Before receiving a device, please complete the following steps within Skyward Annual Student Verification:

    Health Service Immunization Reminder
    Please submit any new or updated vaccination records to your school nurse as soon as possible. Per state law, all students must be compliant with required vaccinations before the first day of school or they must be excluded from classes; see the following website for complete schedule and rules: Also, be advised that students entering the 7th grade in August 2022 have mandatory immunizations due: According to the Texas Dept. of State Health Services immunization schedule, each entering 7th grader needs a current Meningococcal and a Tdap, if five years have passed since their last dose of tetanus-containing vaccine.
