Free Summer Learning Opportunities

  • From June 15 - July 2, Carroll ISD will be offering students entering grades 3-11 the opportunity to review and enrich their understanding of the TEKS in both English Language Arts and math. These classes will be approximately one hour in length and the instruction will be provided by a Carroll ISD teacher. Students will also have the opportunity to enrich their social and emotional learning by working with Carroll ISD counselors. Classes will be grouped according to grade levels and the time for the classes will be posted on the website. No pre-registration is required. Sessions will be recorded and posted to the lesson calendars, replacing the live lesson links. The links for recorded sessions will be available within a few days of the live lesson, they will not be immediately available.

Video links for the summer learning opportunities are becoming available.  The video is embedded in the session link, so students/parents wishing to view the video will need to click on the link for the session they wish to view.

All teachers will be using Google Meet to deliver lessons. Students should login using their CISD Google account and click the lesson link to access the Google Meet.

We recommend that students practice logging in to their Google account and joining a Google Meet prior to the date and time of instruction. If you need further technology assistance, call the CISD Help Desk at 817-949-HELP.

We are thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity for our students. The sessions will not be for credit and none of the work performed in the class will be graded, but these sessions will provide students with a review/enrichment of the students they may not have grasped in the Spring and it will help with the transition into the learning environment for the Fall.
