2020-2021 Bus Rider Information


  • Bus Safety Handbook & Bus Rider Contract
    All bus riders MUST have a parent or guardian signed Bus Rider Contract submitted with the Bus Rider Registration Form, indicating that they have received the Bus Safety Handbook and will agree to abide by the rules. Bus passes will not be issued until a signed contract has been submitted.  The Bus Safety Handbook and Contract can be found in the link on the left of this page.

    2020-2021 Bus Passes On Sale
    Sale of bus passes are handled by the Financial Services Department. Carroll ISD Administration is reducing the cost of the bus passes due to the loss of the services in the spring of 2020 and potential interruptions in service in the fall semester due to COVID-19. This discount will only be in effect for the 2020-2021 school year.

    Annual Pass: $225 per student or $450 per family
    Semester Pass: $128 per student or $256 per family

    Bus pass sales will begin July 20 and run throughout the year. A total of 1040 bus passes will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to COVID-19 only 26 students per bus. There will be an initial 2-week registration window (7/20/20 – 8/3/2020) of selling bus passes to allow the Transportation Department to more accurately set routes and stops before the start of school. While the stops and routes are always subject to adjustments the early registrant data will better assist the routing process allowing for fewer adjustments once the initial 2020-21 bus route plan is released on August 10. 

    If you do not purchase a bus pass by 11:59 p.m. CST on August 19, 2020 then your child will not have their pass for the first day of school. Bus passes will continue to be sold throughout the school year, but due to limited number of seats we cannot guarantee there will be available seating on the bus route requested. Your child will be placed on a waiting list if the bus route is already at capacity. No student will be allowed to board any bus without a valid bus pass.

    **Carroll ISD will carefully consider a reasonable transportation refund policy and communicate the process to parents in the event that COVID-19 results in long-term  building closure and virtual learning this fall**

    Payment by credit card, online or in person, requires a processing fee of $0.25 plus 4% of the transaction; Google Chrome must be used. Carroll ISD does not receive any of the credit card fees offered by this convenience. You may also print and complete the Bus Rider Registration Form along with the Bus Rider Contract and submit in person or by mail to the CISD Administration Center - 2400 North Carroll Avenue, Southlake, TX 76092; Attn: Cheryl McCormick. All forms will be date and time stamped upon receipt, if you pay by cash or check.  

    Upon completion of the transaction, your child's bus pass will be approved, issued and sent to your child's campus for pickup, date still to be determined, to allow for your child to have at the start of school. Every student must have a bus pass to ride. Once the school year has started, bus passes will be created and sent to your child's campus within five business days, if space is available.  Bus passes are similiar to a luggage tag and should be attached to your child's backpack.
