Consolidation
At the January 12, 2026 Carroll ISD Special Board Workshop Meeting, the CISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a recommendation from the Budget Reduction Advisory Committee to implement a campus realignment plan. This plan includes the closure of Durham Intermediate School in the 2027-28 school year, which would result in all fifth grade students staying on their home elementary campus. Additionally, the District would transition to two 6th-8th grade middle school campuses. There will be no changes at the high school level.
