Two of the nation's premier high school football programs will meet under the lights of one of college football's most iconic venues as Southlake Carroll (Texas) takes on Jenks (Oklahoma) in the inaugural State Line Showdown at the Cotton Bowl Stadium. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, opening the 2026 season with a matchup worthy of the national spotlight.

The State Line Showdown features two legendary programs with championship traditions that have defined excellence for decades. Southlake Carroll enters the season as one of Texas' most successful football programs with eight state championships, while Jenks has established itself as one of Oklahoma's premier programs with 18 state titles. Together, the two schools represent generations of winning, passionate communities, and some of the highest levels of high school football in the country.
