Local School Library Advisory Committee (LSLAC)
The 89th Texas Legislature, through Senate Bill 13 (SB 13), requires school districts to establish local school library advisory councils in certain circumstances to assist with library materials and to create a more effective process for challenging them. Districts can choose to establish one voluntarily. This council will provide recommendations on library materials and help ensure local values are reflected in the library catalog.
