Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)

Special Education Parent Advisory Council (or SEPAC)  is a volunteer group composed of parents/guardians of children receiving special education and/or 504 services, community representatives, and district representatives who are focused on improving the lives and educational outcomes of students with special needs and their families.

SEPAC membership and procedures should be as inclusive as possible. Parents do not need special training or background knowledge to be a member of a SEPAC.  A SEPAC provides direct input to school district leaders about policies, programs, practices, and services that have an impact on students with disabilities and their families.
