Carroll ISD students once again demonstrated that creativity, innovation, and teamwork can compete on a global stage, earning impressive results at the 2026 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals held in May at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

At Carroll ISD, excellence extends far beyond the classroom — and this year, five remarkable Carroll Senior High School graduates have earned one of the nation’s highest honors through appointments to several prestigious United States Military Academies.
Fewer than one percent of all U.S. high school graduates are admitted to these elite institutions annually, making this achievement extraordinarily rare and a tremendous point of pride for Dragon Nation.

Southlake Carroll’s Lady Dragon Golf team delivered an outstanding performance at the UIL Class 6A State Tournament, earning a second-place team finish and securing the program’s best finish at state since winning back-to-back championships in 2007 and 2008. The spirit of Dragon pride was on full display Tuesday evening as Carroll ISD hosted its annual End-of-Year Awards Ceremony in the Performance Hall at Carroll Senior High School. The event honored the outstanding educators and staff members who go above and beyond each day to serve students and uphold the district’s tradition of excellence.
