    As our district begins this next phase of defining excellence, we are excited to invite the entire community to participate. There are many unique opportunities to fit your schedule and that can help our strategic planning committee develop our district’s path for the next three to five years.

    Tuesday, September 28 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
    at The Marq, 285 Shady Oaks Dr.
    Brown bag your lunch and bring a friend!


    Wednesday, September 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
    at Carroll High School, 800 N. White Chapel Blvd.
    Library for students and cafeteria for parents/community.

    Overall, our plan has five (5) phases. Below outlines the significance for each phase.

    Phase 1: Expectations & Process
    This phase is set by the CISD Board of Trustees.

    Phase 2: Community Input
    This phase consists of two key parts. 

    Part A:

    • CISD Summits
    • Focus Groups
    • Survey

    Part B:
    SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis 

    Phase 3: Strategic Plan Design
    This phase focuses on the Strategic Planning Team comprised of parents, community members, business leaders, teachers, staff and parents developing the following:

    • Call to Action - our purpose for this plan
    • Vision, mission and core value review and alignment
    • Strategy Development

    Phase 4: Strategy Formulation & Evaluation
    As the Strategy Development is completed, strategy teams will focus on the strategy formulation and measures for success. After the strategy teams complete their work, they will present to the entire Strategic Planning team for feedback and approval.

    Phase 5: Community Report Card
    With the completion of the strategic plan, the committee will design a report card to the community with key performance indicators and measures that will be used to track progress.
