What is available for students? 

With a Carroll ISD Google account, the following Google services will be available to students:

• Google Drive: Create and share a variety of online documents, from word processing and spreadsheets to forms and presentations.
• Calendar: An individual calendar providing the ability to organize schedules, daily activities, and assignments.
• Selected Apps: Selected apps will be available to students when requested by teachers and when safe and appropriate for educational use.
• Gmail: A fully functioning e-mail program
  • Grades PK-8: Intra-district communication only
  • Grades 9-12: Full e-mail access

Google Workspace for Education, along with other tools such as Canvas and Seesaw, are essential pieces since we have devices for every student and work to effectively meet our district’s goals of infusing 21st-century skills into our classrooms.  

Student Google accounts fall under the CISD Student Acceptable Use Policy, which governs appropriate, responsible, and safe use of school accounts, networks, and systems. Using online tools responsibly is an important part of the learning experience. 

Log in to Google:

• Using an internet browser, navigate to drive.google.com. (Use of Google Chrome is recommended for full functionality of applications)
• Under "Personal", choose "Go to Google Drive".
• Username: [FirstInitial[LastName][Last3DigitsofsNumber]@southlakecarroll.edu 
• Password: your district password

Please take time to review the Acceptable Use Policy with your child and discuss with them the importance of responsible internet usage.

Access your Google Drive

Using the Chrome Browser, go to drive.google.com > click "Go to Google Drive" > type your CISD email address and click "Next" > type your CISD password and click "Next."
