Once again, Carroll ISD is coming together to share a love of reading by reading the same book. This year, we will read Victoria Coe's Fenway and Hattie, a charming story about a dog and his girl who move from the big city to life in the suburbs. Click here for more information and to access the Ticket Tracker link to order your copy. Because this is a family read aloud, you only need one copy of the book. The link will be active until January 29th. Books will be ordered at that time and we will begin reading mid-February. As an added bonus, the author, Victoria Coe, will be coming to our school at the end of March!
School hours are from 7:40 am until 2:55 pm. The first bell rings at 7:40 am. Students are tardy after the second bell which is at 7:55 am.
The character quality for January is self-control, choosing to do what you should even when you don't want to. Mrs. Johnston visits each classroom monthly for guidance lessons. This month's focus will be on self-control. Click this link for Mrs. Johnston's January Guidance blog.
Each year, Carroll ISD is lucky to have dedicated parents and community members that make the decision to volunteer on campuses and around the district. These volunteers are vital to the success of each campus and program where they volunteer. Each year volunteers are required to re-register to serve on CISD campuses. Click here to learn more about the process and begin registration.
Would you like to purchase a birthday book for the library? Maybe you would like to pay for a field trip for your student. Beginning this year, JES will offer all purchases through the "Pay K-12" website. Other than the yearly supply fee, all purchases will be online. Once you go to the website, just click on the items you would like to purchase. Click this link to go to "Pay K-12".
