Carroll ISD Earns Straight A’s in 2025 TEA Accountability Ratings

On Friday, August 15, 2025, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) publicly released both the 2024 and 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings—marking the first time in years that back-to-back school years of full district and campus performance data have been made available statewide. Carroll ISD once again earned top marks, achieving an overall score of 95 (A) with campus-level Student Achievement scores ranging from 94 to 99 across all 11 schools.

TEA’s accountability system evaluates districts and campuses on three key domains: Student Achievement, School Progress, and Closing the Gaps. The ratings, published annually on the TXSchools.gov website, provide families and communities a clear view of academic performance based on metrics like statewide assessment results, graduation rates, and college/career/military readiness.

The release comes after years of delays caused by legal challenges. The 2022–23 ratings—the first year of a “refreshed” accountability system designed to more accurately reflect performance—were withheld as part of a lawsuit (Morath v. Kingsville ISD) challenging changes to the rating methodology. A court ruling in 2025 cleared the way for TEA to release those results in April, followed by the 2024 and 2025 ratings on August 15. Carroll ISD’s 2024 results were very similar to 2025, underscoring consistent districtwide excellence during the multi-year pause in public reporting.

Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn praised the district’s performance, saying, “These results are a testament to the dedication of our teachers, staff, students, and families. Academic excellence is a hallmark of Carroll ISD, and we remain committed to ensuring every Dragon has the tools and opportunities to succeed.”
