Carroll ISD Trustees Recognized at Statewide Leadership Conference

Carroll ISD Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn recently participated in the Learn Right Lead Right - Texas Ed-Vantage Conference, a two-day training summit held April 17-18 in Lakeway, Texas. Hosted by Leadership Institute and Texans for Excellence in Education, the conference brought together school board leaders from across the state for professional development, collaboration, and strategic planning.

The summit featured a range of sessions focused on effective governance and leadership, including topics such as governance that transforms districts, board policy development, student safety through smart hiring practices, the legal landscape for Texas school systems, and leadership under pressure. Attendees also explored best practices in board operations and engaged in discussions centered on driving student outcomes and maintaining strong, student-focused policies.

Carroll ISD leaders joined peers from across Texas to gain practical tools and insights aimed at strengthening district leadership and supporting student success. The conference also provided an opportunity to collaborate with fellow trustees and education leaders committed to advancing excellence in public education.

During the conference, the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees was honored with two prestigious recognitions. The Board received the Trailblazer Award in recognition of being the first school board to join Texans for Excellence in Education, demonstrating leadership, courage, and conviction in helping launch a new movement in Texas public education. Trustees were also presented with the Founder’s Award, further recognizing their commitment to leadership and service.

Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn expressed appreciation for the Board’s leadership and dedication.

“I am incredibly grateful to serve alongside a Board of Trustees that leads with both conviction and courage,” said Dr. Glenn. “Their commitment to doing what is best for students and their unwavering focus on serving our community continue to move Carroll ISD forward in meaningful ways.”

Board President Cam Bryan also reflected on the recognition and the role of the Carroll ISD community.

“It is an honor for the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees to be recognized for our leadership,” said Bryan. “We are truly blessed to serve such a wonderful and engaged community, one that continually supports our schools and ensures we uphold the tradition of excellence in all we do.”
