Carroll Senior High Students Earn Spots in 2026 TMEA All-State Choirs

Carroll ISD is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement in choral excellence as two Carroll Senior High School students have earned placements in the prestigious 2026 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Choirs.

Carroll Senior High School juniors Aditi Srikanth and Myeisha Jaiswal were selected among the top student musicians in Texas through a rigorous multi-round audition process. Aditi earned a position in the TMEA All-State Mixed Choir, while Myeisha earned placement in the TMEA All-State Treble Choir. Both students will perform February 11–14, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.

The TMEA All-State audition process began with the first round of auditions on September 13 and concluded on January 10, when four Carroll Senior High students advanced to compete in the final round for placement in these prestigious ensembles. Aditi and Myeisha began their preparation for the 2025–2026 audition process on May 1, 2025, when the official audition repertoire was released, and both worked tirelessly for months to earn this honor awarded to only the top 1% of musicians who participate in the process.

Across the state, more than 60,000 students begin the audition process for a TMEA All-State Ensemble each year, and only 1,830 students earn placements. Approximately 20,000 of those auditions are for the All-State Choirs, with only the top 500 students selected.

Carroll Choirs also demonstrated exceptional success throughout the audition season, maintaining one of the highest retention rates in the Metroplex as students advanced through each round. By the final round of auditions, Carroll Choirs sustained a 16% retention rate, with students consistently placing in the top five chairs within their voice parts throughout the process.

“This is an incredible accomplishment for Aditi and Myeisha, and a huge celebration for Carroll Choirs,” said Casey LeVie, Carroll ISD Director of Choirs. “These students have worked tirelessly with immense dedication to earn an honor awarded to only the top 1% of musicians who participate in the All-State process. I am so proud of them and excited for the opportunity they will have to learn from nationally recognized conductors and perform alongside the top high school musicians in Texas.”

With Aditi’s selection, Carroll Choirs also celebrates a two-year All-Stater—an honor that reflects sustained excellence and dedication.

Carroll ISD congratulates Aditi and Myeisha on this distinguished achievement and applauds the continued success of Carroll Fine Arts students across the state and beyond.
