Carroll Silver Dragons Create Sweet Treats with Culinary Students

Carroll ISD’s Silver Dragons enjoyed a sweet and meaningful pre-Valentine’s Day experience today at Carroll Senior High School, participating in a special culinary celebration that brought generations together through creativity and connection.

Silver Dragons, retired citizens in the Southlake community, met the District's new culinary teacher, Anne Hott, and learned how to craft delicious Valentine’s treats by hand. They used fresh strawberries, pretzel sticks, and three varieties of chocolate—milk, white, and strawberry. With guidance from senior high culinary students, participants dipped, decorated, and assembled their confections before packaging them for gifting and sharing.

Senior High Media Arts students were also on hand to capture the joy of the day, documenting smiles, collaboration, and the hands-on learning that made the event memorable.

This Silver Dragons Valentine’s Celebration was all about connecting community seniors with our students — to share values that reflect the heart of our community. It was coordinated by the CISD Communications Department. Carroll Independent School District is grateful for our Silver Dragons—community members whose generosity and involvement continue to make a meaningful impact on our students and schools. More Silver Dragon events will be scheduled soon. #GoDragons!
