Carroll Trustees Invest in Maintaining Dragon Facilities

Over the summer and early fall, Carroll ISD Trustees have made targeted investments to maintain and enhance district facilities.

Using funds from the 2017 Bond, the home entrance at Dragon Stadium received a full refresh. It has been cleaned, sanded, and repainted to highlight the District’s pride and tradition of athletic excellence. Fans will notice the gleaming new paint, an updated color scheme, and brand-new sponsor signage throughout the home concourse and seating areas.

Trustees also worked closely with the City of Southlake to leverage Tax Increment Financing (TIF) dollars to replace aging roofs at Dawson Middle School, Eubanks Intermediate, and Old Union Elementary. “These are important funds we manage in partnership with the City,” said Board President Cam Bryan. “They allow us to stay on schedule with major maintenance projects without tapping into other resources. We are grateful for the support of the Southlake City Council and for the hard work of our Facility Director, Lanny Mooney, in making these projects a success.”

“We are so excited about all the updates,” said Board Secretary Christy Stacy. “It’s important to provide routine maintenance and spruce things up a bit for our kids as they begin a new school year. It all looks great!”

In addition, CISD administration partnered with campus principals and Athletic Director Riley Dodge to complete several other projects, including renovating the Carroll Senior High School gym, installing new lighting across multiple campuses, and repairing or replacing HVAC units districtwide. These efforts are essential to creating safe, comfortable, and well-maintained learning environments where students can thrive and staff can focus on teaching and supporting our Dragons.
