Drug & Alcohol Education
Red Ribbon Week
Annually, Carroll ISD takes part in Red Ribbon Week, a drug and violence prevention campaign that takes place across the country during the last week in October. Each Carroll ISD campus creates engageing and inventive ways to raise awareness of these topics and making it a focal point of education.
Drug and Alcohol Use Survey
Carroll ISD administered the Texas School Survey of Drug and Alcohol Use (TSS) in the spring of the 2016-2017 school year to students in grade 7-12 as constituent part of the #SAFEdragon Initiative. The survey collects self-reported tobacco, alcohol, and substance use data among secondary students in Texas public schools. The survey is sponsored by the Texas Department of State Health Service (DSHS) and administered by Texas A&M University’s Public Policy Research Institute (PPRI). This survey is both anonymous and voluntary. See the results of the survey here.
